Document Summary

The anchor is what you compare to when you evaluate: ex: a restaurant will put a very expensive item on the menu to make the other items seem reasonable. Compare something to something else: comparing the irst movie or book to the second one. You believe things because everyone around you believes the same thing: ex: someone is a vegan just because their boyfriend is. When everyone else is believing something it seem reasonable to believe it also. You accept, seek out, and remember things that support your views. You also interpret things in a way that support your views. If men look at lot of picture of beauiful woman, they will rate their wife as less atracive. If you are observing two things at the same ime, you will focus more on their diference when evaluaing. Disincion bias: things appear more diferent when viewed simultaneously.
