Hermopolis is built by ramsees who appropriates a lot of the ruins of amarna. We have a domestic scene in the interior of the place where calves are being force fed, which has been reused from it"s original amarna context to hermopolis (unsure of what is the context). During the amarna period, akhnaten spends so much time and money into religious reforms (which stem from his quarrel with the priests of thebes) and he wasn"t putting much attention elsewhere which was when the hittites attacked the mitanni). We found a lot of documents in akkadian which was the diplomatic language for correspondence. We also have records (a stele of a victory akhenaten never won). We found instances of damnatio memoriae on cartouches of akhnaten. One unusual thing we have from the stele from the tomb of pannefer is the fact that the king and queen wear alternate crowns (one is the north crown, one is the south crown).
