Use of colour in the film- starts off in black and white, switches to colour (blue in munchkin area, yellow other places, etc. ) Movie has her wake up and it was a dream, whereas in book it was real. Age- in book much younger than in movie. Movie cuts out other characters so she goes home. Moral of movie- no place like home is not emphasized in book. Movie spends more time developing relationship between oz and kansas. Still has violence and moral universe where wicked are punished.
