Cliffs make be composed of sand consolidated into rock. Beach sand consists of rounded mineral grains and broken pieces of shell. Inorganic, doesn"t have to withhold a simple carbon (has unique chemical composition) When lava cools down it solidifies creating a rock. Groups rocks into a category or subcategory based on process of origin. Formed from products of breakdown of preexisting rock. Sand - tiny pieces of pre existing rocks. Causes rocks to break down into rock fragments or mineral grains. Chemical weathering involves reacting among minerals, the atmosphere and water. Formed by cooling lava or magma that makes it out of a volcano. Igneous rock that form below the surface are associated with visible crystals. Above surface cooling is very fast and crystals formed are very small and invisible to the naked eye. Either sedimentary or igneous, subjected to higher pressure/ temperature in such a way where these pressures of temperature will yield a transformation in the minerals.
