Tribe carried on the story and finished it. As much religious as it is historical. Not an overgrown human prone to unpredictable actions. Had specifically chose the hebrews to make a contract as long as they worshipped only him. If they strayed, he would lift his protection (scary world) Deuteronomy (greek deuteros second, nomos law) > a restatement of mosaic principles) Moses had lead the hebrews out of bondage into the promised land.
