Exposure of somalia affair (remember the reading from last year!) Kidnapped and tortured in iran, escaped death by a hair. Tells story of kidnapping and torture in iraq in unembedded documentary. Used to play drums in the offenders . Retired from forces in 1986, started edc in 1988 (27 years old) Edc has made some documentaries e. g. outside the wire. 8 books in 6 different languages by taylor/edc. Ended up in journalism as career, started off in commerce and business. Covered first gulf war in 1990- iraq invaded kuwait. No one cared about it, to get people motivated for fighting, a kuwaiti girl came forward and said she saw iraqi soldiers dumping babies into the street to die- made everyone angry and ready to fight.
