You will be prepared to do well in 4th year seminars more generally (handle the readings, the independence, the classroom interacion and the assignments) You will become a more skilled criical reader, thinker and writer. More readings no lectures you have to do the readings ahead of ime, the professor will not summarize them in class. More independence (in choosing topics) atendance and class paricipaion. The key to learning something: doing it, asking quesions about it, geing feedback, doing it beter. You have to do research (in the class and outside) Lectures are not a good use of our class ime. You absolutely have to do the readings before class. I will not summarize the readings in class.
