For marx, it"s mostly about who owns the means of production. There was this new demographic who didn"t own anything but were yet desperate for work. As long as there is a class exploitation that exists, class struggles also exist. The historic dialectic explains itself as a when you are born into the world, depending on which class strata you belong to, you"re going to have certain ideas about how the world works. The history of all existing societies is based on the history of class struggles. Why would marx think that people can suddenly snap out of it and realize the worth of the world: because people have the ability to recognize the truth and that politics is bad. The morality of the ruling class is eventually the morality of the moral goods.
