Emergency medical response: how firefighters got involved in social. Ethnographies in seven cities and two small municipalities across 4 provinces since 2007- Analysis of service statistics from 5 cities from 1998-2016. Analysis of factors influencing increases in 9-1-1 calls. Firefighters are trained to fight fires, with extensive knowledge in other things (cars, hazmat, large scale emergency-sars, flooding, terrorist attacks. The complex distributions and assignments to different groups based on assigned sex of : power, and dominance, divisions of labour, affective and intimate relations, representations and images. The constellation of social relations through which care needs and wants are met, including market, household, familial, community and state actors. A society"s care needs and wants, as well as its care labour supply, expand and contract due to socio-demographic, political, economic and social factors, from wars to baby booms.
