Sociology is the best way for understanding the people and world around us is the best . Impacts everyone in different ways (individual and group) Outside perspective: conceptual - new language for understanding the world (terms, theoretical- schools/ perspective (diverse, empirical - various forms of research, analytical - breakdown and process situations. Sociology: systematic study of society and social interaction. Different layer of analysis (macro vs micro) Blaming society relieves the blame from an individual. Exploring that everyone is part of their own social group that is different from others. Individuals make choices for themselves however are all choices available to everyone. Exploring the difference between cultural and social forces. Ex. individuals with jobs; some get one by choice and others are forced to relationships/connection between society and individuals.
