From k-12 it is publicly subsidized, and university and college is also partially subsidized by the government. Society benefits alot by us being educated, not just us. Individual health contributes to the good of society. Historically seen as for the people, but now its being privatized with companies selling bottled water. Sociology of social movements and social change. Young, white, well educated and middle class youth. Youth spend tons of time drinking and hungover, rather than resting and preparing to volunteer. Companies take advantage of these optimistic youth, and over charge them just to volunteer. Volunteer companies make the children look poorer to attract more volunteers, with some not even orphans. It"s not all bad, but do it for the right reason. Can you do this in your country. Globalization: the worldwide exchange of money, goods, and services as well as the socio-cultural changes that occur as a result (ravelli & webber 2010, p. 503).
