Personal self: self-consistency, organized system of ideas about self, self-ideal, relates to what one wants to be capable of doing, moral-ethical-spiritual self, belief system and evaluation of who one is in relation to the universe. Basic need= psychic and spiritual integrity need to know who you are so you can be or exist w/ sense of unity and meaning. Self-concept of indv: developed from own perceptions and feedback from how others perceive us. Process of self concept: person = has basic life processes in each adaptive mode. Include developing self, perceiving self, and focussing self.
