Arth 298 montreal: evolution through architecture and urbanism. Suburbs are usually developed after the initial movement into the city. Usually for newcomers coming from outside the city. Old montreal was surround by the fortification, middle of 18th ce the suburbs arose. Typical of montreal, 19th ce had big families, 12 kids. Problems in quebec, only one of the dozen kids will inherent the farm. Then they go to the city, or make more cheap houses in the suburbs, they appear to be 17 ce houses in 19th ce bc they are inexpensively done. Suburb is no longer kind of slum, suburbs make improvement in the systems, to improve quality of life, clean running water for example. Give me a station/champ de mars metro station. Marcille said he wanted a metro station, which she got. Can see big church, st-sauveur church 1865 by law ford and nelson.
