Air we breathe composes the atmosphere and is a complex mixture of gases surrounding the earth. Burning of fossil fuels (ex: petroleum, natural gas and coal) used: Industrial processes that use lots of energy sources (pulp and paper mills) = responsible for the presence of minor components and major sources of human- created air pollution. Air pollutants causing adverse environmental and health effects. When there is insufficient supply of oxygen, there is incomplete combustion of fossil fuels and carbon monoxide gas is released.
