Strahler: empirical: based on measured paramters, such as temperature or precipitaion. 3 laitude climates: low: located between about 30 degrees north lat and 30 south lat. Sources regions associated with itcz, trade winds, and subtropical high pressure belts. Lot of convecion, subtropical conversion, intense surface heaing, provides rainfall. When whole system has migrated, convergence shited away. And divergence at surface sinking in the middle (unsaturated) Cycle can be diurnal (hot day, cold night), someimes seasonal but not summer winter. Hotest temperature will be just before monsoon starts, coldest temperature when everything has shited, colder air coming further.
