Document Summary

Human history as an optimistic point = struggle between classes. More modern bourgeois society (north america) = another example of this. Marx points that the modern bourgeois is itself the product of historical development, it reflects our society. It exists only because economic conditions exist -> society will disappear along with it. Everything we have : modern industry, modern representative state (congress etc. ) = are symbols of the victory of the bourgeois. It was a sign of historical progress: the bourgeois took power and they put an end to feudalism. There are no natural superiors left after the bourgeois. No one has a trade or something they belong to (a job) You trade your labor to get some $ Once you get the industrial revolution = it creates individualism. Ideas do not matter for marx = we want materials. Liberal theorists have not found natural rights about their insight however, it is only a stage of historical development.
