Variation can be due to genetics, poverty, poor nutrition, racial or ethnic background etc. Studies have shown that children in richer countries, have less anxiety, more connection with their peers and more positive emotions. Studies have also shown that nutrition plays a role in how smart a child is. A child that is well nourished will perform better academically than the others. Obesity: 20% over your expected weight and height. It"s the result of genetics and social characteristics. Those should be the responsibility of the family, and not of the child.
