No fundamental difference between man and the higher animals in mental faculties. Remember : an example of behavior should not be explained by complex, high-level mental process if it can be explained by a simpler one. Try to explain complex behaviors in terms of a simple process. Imprinting in birth: taking away the mother made the ducklings imprint on him. This was not reversed when the mother was reintroduced.
