Consent form - if this is disclosed, confidentiality will be broken. Research p shouldn"t be leaving lab in worst psych/phys cond than what they started. When submit ethics proposal for study, look if any psych harm done. In any clinical study, goal is to help but at least not harm. Can withdraw from study or treatment at any time. Not only parents, but child must also consent but just that they are agreeing to participate. Parents sign consent form and for kid, shortened w easy lang and just check box if agree to participate. Ex study w teens, parents need to sign but if forget to tell them, can"t participate so lost data which is difficult for researcher.
