You need a strong psych/neuro background, you need to demonstrate that you can understand the work, it helps to be outgoing, but its also helpful if your shy, you need to be responsible and mature, think about taking this! But need to brush up on first year psych! Validity of diagnosis, and corresponding diagnostic tests, Relates to sensitivity (can it detects? of hit rate) and specificity (can id discriminate> or correct rejection) Content validity: say alzheimer disease, the issue of content validly, are you really measuring what you think your measuring, are the symptoms you associate with. Parkinson really captured by your test observation etc. Concurrent validity: refers to associated correlates or markers and response to treatment in therapy. Convergence between different measures, they are saying the same thing! People want to nail it in early diagnosis in place.
