Amphibologic behaviours: behaviours or behavioural categories that are ambiguous: look at two dogs playing, you assume the are playing. You have to be careful with interactions though. Sometimes, one dog thinks they"re playing and the other one doesn"t. It looks like play, if it wasn"t play it would be aggression. Autochthonous behaviours: behaviour activated by its own drive: you don"t really know what created this behaviour, you may have a context and you still don"t know what is happening. In some cases, it is what is going on inside that matters. You may be hungry, in heat and this will change everything you may expect from the context.
