Focus on observable behaviors and control the environment. If thought, emotion and behavior are shaped by experience, then it can be changed by experience": biological approaches. Other causes (mental illness): vitamin deficiencies, hiv, autoimmune response to streptococcal pharyngitis (a throat infection that is related to ocd). Molecular medicine find and tests medicine for mental illnesses in association with genes. Types of anxiety disorders: anxiety disorders are caused by an inappropriate expression of fear that disables normal (everyday) functioning. Obsessions: recurrent, intrusive thoughts, images, ideas, or impulses.
