Document Summary
These disciplines show how things are not always the way that they appear. We need to analyse from a social perspective to see that these natural disasters are not nearly as natural as we think they are. We generally believe that these natural disasters are bad luck or chance that simply comes down the the weather. Believe that they are natural , meaning non-human induced. Have the understanding that high risk areas but simply just live with the risks. The suffering that occurs, we tend to think, is solely just inevitable for all those living in high risk areas. When we call these natural it takes all the blame away from human actions by making it seem unavoidable/uncontrollable. This view erases the question of power and equality as factors of suffering. It also takes the attention away from the patterns of suffering that cannot be explained by the weather alone.
