Gender and race are very popular things to categorize: how we divide races: skin colour, geographic location, facial features, hair, religion, scent, language, not biological or natural characteristics, concept of race is quite short. Historic context: contradictions between ideals and social practices. Liberty and justice for all, slavery and colonization for some: development of racial classifications.
