Document Summary
Behaviour reinforced through the mediation of other persons, but the listener"s must be responding in ways which have been conditioned precisely in order to reinforce the behaviour of the speaker. Mand: asking for reinforcers (the non-verbal stimulus does not need to be present: motivating operation is always present. Tact: naming or identifying a present non-verbal stimuli: teach 2 tacts at a time, with 3 multiple examplars, the learner must be able to articulate the label before it is taught. Intraverbal: answering questions or having conversations where the speaker"s verbal behaviour is controlled by other words: non-verbal stimulus is out of sight, answering w/h questions. Transcriptive: writing and spelling words spoken to you. Listener receptive skills: receptive: selecting or doing something, receptive is taught at the same time as tacting. Itt/dtt vs. net (requires motivating operation: do not place too many demands in net, because this requires too much response e ort, which kills the value of the activity.
