Tuesday march 10th, 2020 | week 2 | ece2048. Ec programs aim to operate in rational, coordinated ways to reach goals. To achieve being this rational organization, programs must define tasks that need to be done & the best way of getting these done by putting in place the people & resources necessary. Effective programs devise systems & structures for building relationships where staff work collaboratively for the benefit of others, support professional growth, and the setting as a whole. Systems - the different processes designed to provide what the setting needs such as information, tools, governing structure, accountability, policies & procedures to deliver the desired outcomes. Ec settings create a range of procedures to be followed such as the admission of children, selection of staff & the offering of a placement to families. Settings need systems to track effectiveness of: program strategies, attendance, payment of fees . A systems view is not a planning strategy nor predictor of outcomes/results.
