Development in steel, electronics and automobiles led by the u. s and germany. Creation of new and quicker transport networks thanks to canals and railways. Modern inventions helped people lives such as machines that efficiently and productivity made the work easier. => didn"t have laws for the safety of workers in the workplace. => long hours without breaks and they were severely punished. => pay was very low and worked in very bad conditions. => worked more than 12 hours a day with no breaks and were severely punished. => children couldn"t get a very good education so they would become workers in factories as they get older.
