Deceitfulness (lying, use of aliases, conning for personal gain) Reckless disregard for safety of self and others (ex drunk driving, racing) Consistent irresponsibility (ex to financial obligations, workplace stealing) Lack of remorse (rationalize harming others, don"t feel empathetic, guilty) Underarousal hypothesis: antisocial pd person is chronically underaroused: May have slight evolutionary advantage thus why it was passed on: criminality. Conduct disorder: childhood version of antisocial pd; one criteria or symptom is torturing. Cannot be diagnosed until 18 or older, and must have evidence of conduct disorder prior to age.
