We have an ideal victim in our society. We have all the sympathy for in the world. We care about and whose needs we want to meet. The ideal victim is particularly a young woman. Particular types of crimes we have more sympathy for. Someone who is a good natured individual and is deemed attractive by society. In order to make harm intelligible and valid victims draw on this. Harder to gain recognition if you don"t look like the ideal victim. If you are an ideal victim, you can get response. Doesn"t belong to the victims exclusively: victim and rj. Constructed in process and in the advocacy for rj. It can think differently of who the victim is: offender and rj. Individuals who are solely responsible for their own, bad choices. The reason they commit crime is because they have made a bad choice to break the law.
