Document Summary

Space-time dimension : 4d space in which we live. 3 dmensions of space and1 dimension of time. Einstein"s equations: time is another dimension like space and you can trade space for time and vice versa which is why you get time dilation and space contraction. A 2d surface: e. g. 1 space + 1 time dimension. Moving on just one line up and down. You can move around the cube in 3 different dimensions. Mathematically instead up and down we"re going to swap that for time. 3d surface: 2 space dimensions and 1 time dimension. 4 dimensions means there is an extra dimension which we experience in the sense of time. That is what the space time continuum is curvature or geometry of space time we will use the 2d flat land and talk about what it means to have curvature on this. It is the surface we live on every day.
