Flat plate vs circular ring = need to shape different grips for objects. Neurons in premotor cortex f5 = selective so fire ap for. But later identified in regions of parietal lobe = Network of mirror neurons not clustered = Fire both when execute movement & when watch. Ex: mirror neurons fire when monkey reach & grab object [peanut] But also when experimenter reach & grab object. 2- not respond to object alone or non-goal- Profound implications of mirror neurons [internal circuit] *controversial & complicated idea. Mirror neurons for modeling/representation of circuit- for movements.
