Ritual space: rigpe dorje centre is a three-floor brick building located on 503, 5th avenue. In the lobby area there is a main desk and a small area with chairs, and a hallway that extends to where the lamas live: the ema ho dharma store sells dharma goods for practitioners. Buddhist books on topics such as biographies, meditation, death and dying, economics, women"s issues, and art. A wide piece of manuscript cover hangs on top of the entrance door and all four sides of the wall in the room. Tangkas, paintings used for teaching and meditation are put up on all sides of the wall as well: meditation, practice and teaching take place on the wooden floor on red cushions. At the center of the room in the ceiling are two chandeliers: the main directional focus is north where the main altar tables are located. There are also offering cabinets behind the altar.
