Naturalizing political ideals, the land is dutch, they land is theirs. Most images are nostalgic as seen in the previous lecture above. There were also cityscapes with the canals, boats etc. Anxiety about how things were changing, landscapes looks back nostalgically at how things used to be. Very fun, ice doesn"t always freeze so when it did everyone enjoyed skating because it was so uncommon, it is like a festival or carnival. Rural people, dutch flag, a suburb, city walls in the back: the space between the city and the countryside in a communal event between the classes, cheerful and utopian.
