Have been fighting to get brits out of ireland. 1971--spray painted you are now entering free derry --no longer free to be british. Still, every yr have conflict btwn loyalists/republicans. 6 counties still remain under brit rule. Went to look at rituals, political signifiers--colors, flags, art on the wall. Need to b aware of symbols so u dont go into bad place. Republicans fly irish flag, basque flag, palestinian flag, socialist flag, flags of solidarity around world.
