Methodology: estimate all the relevant factors he could think off to explain wage differentials by productive characteristics. The residual of the regression is assigned to (cid:862)ge(cid:374)der dis(cid:272)ri(cid:373)i(cid:374)atio(cid:374)(cid:863) The available data omits important characteristics that affect productivity. If those influences that are not measured are not equally distributed amongst men and women, it becomes a problem.
