Educational objectives: an objective is a statement about the general educational goal, a
description of what the students will learn
Educational outcomes: an outcome is an educational statement that identifies specifically what
the student will have done or demonstrated by the end of the lesson.
Come up with 3 brief lesson ideas and write an objective and outcome:
1. Identifying the months of the year
Objective: students will gain an understanding of the months of the year
Outcome: students will be able to name all the months of the year
2. Recognizing the sounds of each animal
Objective: students will be able to associate which sounds each animal makes
Outcome: students can identify each animal and the sound that they make and vice versa
3. The five times table
Objective: students will be able to know the five times table
Outcome: students will be able to solve each five times table
Integrate a technology with those same lesson ideas and rewrite them:
1. Outcome: students will be able to recognize the months on an online calendar using the
smart board
2. Outcome: students will listen to CD of the sounds of every animal while looking at pictures of
the animals on a smart board
3. Outcome: students will be able to use calculators to solve the five times table
