Some traditions of jesus" resurrection associated with galilee, some with jerusalem. Paul aware of different set of resurrection appearance than gospels. Social memory; women remembered to have seen jesus. James; gap in roman governors, high priest takes advantage. Jesus son of ananias; arrested by high priest because prophesied destruction of temple. General plausibility of jesus" death; acts in a way remembered wanting to destroy temple. Politically better for high priest that pilates kills him because it is passover. Roman governor also has motive because jesus talks about kingdom of god. Crucifixion means killed by roman authorities; not an asset for early christianity. Betrayed in greek is the same word for "delivered to"" or "handed over"" as in 1 cor 11. 23 could also mean "the night he was handed over to the romans"" not necessarily a reference to judas. Paul seems to expect the corinthians to know what he is talking about, also the general context of the last supper.
