To live in the neighbourhood of the good is ne. if one does not choose to dwell among those who are good, how will one obtain wisdom . Mencius: goodness is not unfeeling towards others. I am conscious of my situation knowledge. I am sympathetic to the child moral feeling. I am also vaguely aware of the kid"s danger the urge, the alarm i can have an experience in which i am not the one who is going through the situation. Needs to practice rituals to achieve goodness. In narrow sense ceremony ( wedding, ancestral ceremony ) In wide sense unceremonial, anti ritual, like a pattern (behavioural ) Bowing or hand greeting ( right hand on top for females) Dao (cid:34695): way the order of how rituals are proceeded. Literally meaning : the path, the road. The ideal social order in confucianism relative,not absolute; a systems concept ; normative. Virtue moral character ; potency/ power.
