A few days later, nelson mandela walked free. Journalists asked him to get out of the car so they could photograph his long walk to freedom. Walked out of prison in a symbolic moment. The convention for democratic south africa was meeting to write an intro constitution which was to lead to elections, and would lead to a final constitution and free elections e end of elections.
