But, only 8% of all of the employed workers in france are card- carrying members of a trade union. This is a real contradiction. Union bargaining is very low, collective arrangements are very high. Because france is a cme (coordinated market economy), the coordination occurs at the state level. 10 represented by collective agreements, but france has 9 in 10 represented because. It"s a cme, meaning the state intervenes massively. Legal protection for any discrimination against being a union member. Unions have the right to strike, and use it somewhat frequently. Generally working conditions are excellent in france.
