Sust model = eco-efficiency (less energy, less materials, longer durability, = semi cyclical model. Industrial ecology : use the waste of one activity as input for another activity : how nature work = + efficient = - waste = save $ Often the problem is the business or society behind the technology & not the technology itself. We all want to re-create a silicon valley or hollywood, but those things are difficultly replicable. Intelligent product system: everything in biology should go back to soil safely. Eliminate the concept of waste : there is no such thing as waste in nature (everything gets reused) Cyclical model: closed system (ex: patagonia circular economy) Products usually loose their quality as we (cid:498)recycle(cid:499) so they are actually being downcycled. We have to try and recycle for real or upcycle: keep making the same product or even better. We know; non toxic, safe & infinitely recyclable materials are possible.
