Heart pacing, conduction system is responsible for the electrical activity. Sa node (primary pacemaker) > av node > bundle of his > bundle branches. Av node: located on the floor of the right atrium near opening of the coronary sinus just above the tricuspid. Electrical activity is delayed to ~ 0. 05 sec. Av junction = av node joins bundle of his. Bundle of his: after the av node and known as the common bundle. Bundle branches: left and right and goes down to the purkinje network. Punkinje"s network: electrical impulses directly to the ventricular muscle cells. P wave: sa node signal, contraction of atrium: 0. 10 second. Pr interval: normal time for impulse travel to intermodal pathways (atria to ventricles), distance from p to qrs complex = 0. 12-0. 20sec (3-5boxes) Qrs complexe (contraction of ventricules), electrical impulse form bundle of his to ventricular muscle: < St segment (j point): elevation or depression = myocardial ischemia may be indicated (damage)
