Blood pressure: bp: measured on arterial side of circulation, in systemic circulation, systemic arterial blood pressure. Indirect method all use blood pressure cuff: pump air in to level higher than systolic blood pressure, let air leak out of the cuff using valve, before, was not hooked up to gauge, but to a mercury sphygmomanometer. Method of auscultation: use stethoscope to listen to the sounds, turbulent flow will cause disturbance in wall, hear sounds, when pressure < diastolic bp, hear nothing since back to laminar flow, measures both systolic and diastolic bp.
