Notion of autonomy in relation to the ai system. The system is intelligent and at the same time you deny things that extend to other intelligent life. Human values one hundred years ago were different from what they are now. The entire concept of values may not even be definable historically. Our values right now may not be relevant in the future. You are putting human dominance out of control at that point. We would no longer control our future (if we can say that we do so right now) Becomes problematic when we start recognizing the idea that those who own the patent of manufacturing and development and those who have the resources to put money into those things are being more centralized by the day. In terms of parents and a child, does the role of a parent dictate the child what their preferences should be solely because its serves their self-interest.
