Multilateral diplomacy (tues oct 11: security council simulation. Rules are posted online soon read them ahead of time! There will be two formal meetings of the council (oct 18th and 20th) spaced with 48 hours of informal, corridor negotiations in between. First meeting will consist of electing a chair, pronouncing opening statements and debating among members. It"s okay to lie present your position as tougher than it may really be. Chair is just a rules person and isn"t meant to push us to create a resolution. We need to have a short two minute (tops) speech to present. Look at the past resolutions and re-arrange and take from them. *all this and more can be found in the simulation rules* Presidential statement: no forms of law and is just a position and is adopted by unanimous census: final take-home exam.
