POLI 243 International Politics of Economic Relations
Course Objectives:
- To introduce theoretical approaches to the study of international politics.
- To illustrate differences between theoretical approaches, by applying theories to
historical cases.
- To understand the differences between politics and Economics.
The course is divided into 3 parts:
1. Introduction of different approaches to the explanation of foreign economic policy.
2. A brief intro to two of the substantive issue areas in international political economy.
3. Applications of competing theories to specific cases.
