Cocaine: a potent catecholamine agonist that is highly addictive, increased activity of dopamine and norepinephrine by blocking their reuptake from the synapse, it causes euphoria, insomnia, loss of appetite, and addiction. Benzodiazepines (e. g. diazepam: acts as a gaba agonist but do not mick gaba"s action, reduce anxiety (anxiolytic), sleep inducing (sedative), and anticonvulsant. Botox (botulinium toxin: a nicotinic antagonist which blocks acetylcholine release, at minimum doses it can reduce tremor and reduce wrinkles. Curare: a cholinergic receptor blocker (works specifically on nicotinic receptors, blocks transmission at neuromuscular junctions causing paralysis. Neuraxis an imaginary line that runs along the length of the cns. Anterior (rostral) front end or toward the head (think of antlers on top of the head) Dorsal (back) surface top of the head and towards the back (think of the dorsal fin of a dolphin that is located on its back) Ventral (belly) surface front surface that faces the ground.
