Document Summary

Kids are habituated to the l-object or to the r-object. They get tested on both the l-object and the r-object but at different angles. Boys: look at the novel object more than the familiar object. Girls: look at the novel object equally with the familiar object. How you look at height when you are a baby depends on the situation you are in (type of cover, etc. ) They are trying to teach the kids (9 month-olds) something about height by habituating them. So, they are trying to teach the kids about covering at an age that they normally. Height if the object is going behind another. Height if the object is inside another wouldn"t understand covering. They do occlusion and then they test them on covering to see if they get it. They did different versions of the occlusion to see what matters.
