They have some basic shapes triangle, square, and circle composed of dots. Studying interested whether infants could have a perceptual category. Multiple examples of each level of distortion. You habituate them to distorted triangles and then you test them on the prototype. Then show prototypes of triangle and square (always in a pair) The kid should look longer at the s(cid:395)ua(cid:396)e (cid:894)(cid:271)e(cid:272)ause it"s no(cid:448)el(cid:895) if they indeed did create a category and habituated.
