Stability and change in personality traits in the big 5 traits. Change over time and he thinks this is one question we all bring to a personality course. Whenever we watch a movie or read a book we are interested in seeing if the characters change and develop. Interesting to see when some villians develop as well as the good guys. We can"t help but be interested in where our personality traits come from and how they change in our life. We are in our early 20"s and it"s an interesting time to think about personality change. Some early researchers on big 5 felt that unfortunately big 5 traits are to a large extent highly stable however other researchers suggest there is room for change especially during young adult years. Not compared to other people, how much we change in the behaviours we express and do. Prof"s picture of him with his brother and mom and dad.
